Laser Scanning is steadily replacing the age old dimensional control procedures and equipment. With far more data on hand to view, project managers can visualise the as-built data of a newly constructed manifold/tree or redefine the Central Reference Point (CRP) of a vessel. The 3D data also provides an invaluable tool for space management and collision analysis in brownfield projects and can be easily inputted into PDMS and other similar software packages.
Our innovative use of this technology coupled with our web-based facility (Star Net isite) has benefited customers such as Fugro Survey, Technip, Subsea7, Saipem, etc. Star Net has the in-house expertise and resource to manage this new technology and to serve both onshore and offshore projects throughout the world.
